Chiappa M1-9mm

She's a fun little gun...…. pew pew pew  ;)

I watched a few youtube videos on this rifle and most guys were having feeding issues with this model. They'd fire a few shots and then they would have a failure to feed problem but most guys said this problem went away after they fired a couple hundred rounds. It comes with two Beretta mags pinned to ten rounds.
Well I shot three boxes, one American Eagle 115gr, one American Eagle 124gr and one box Blazer 115gr with no issues at all, none whatsoever.
One thing I don't really like is all the plastic on this gun. The bayonet lug, rear sights, safety, mag housing are all plastic.

The rear sights need some adjusting as I was only hitting the 8 inch gong at 50 yards about 60 % of the time but it was only -14C and my fingers were to cold to fiddle with them. I'll do that on a warmer day.

All in all I'm happy with it and like all guns this is fun to shoot.  8)

Hi Sonny:

Is there much velocity increase running a 9mm through a longer barrel versus a good ol High Power or Beretta97 handgun tube?

Just wondering.

Nice looking addition you have there.

I don't have a chronograph but I'm sure there is a bit of an increase in velocity with a rifle verses a pistol fired 9mm.

And according to these guys a little 9mm can still take you out at 440 yards.

The dumpy little 9mm as all the marketing people tell us is not so dumpy. Especially with today's bullet and powder technology.

Thanks Sonny.
