Nice rifle, I like the look of the Remingtons. I have a 30.06 in the 700 mountain series.

Be nice to her Sonny and put the suck on!

I have a friend who has more than a few bucks and has quite a rifle collection.  He had shot a B&C moose and had a head mount done and I went to see it.  "What rifle did you shoot it with" I asked.  He told me he had bought a Rem. model 7 in 7mm08 for his wife but she did not much like shooting it or hunting actually.  He said he had spent some time shooting it at the range and hand loading for it.  He liked it so much that he was hunting with it almost exclusively now.

I have a custom rifle built on a Rem 660 action in 7mm-08.  With factory ammo it did not shoot all that well but a friend gave me some hand loads that he had worked up for his Rem. 788 and they shoot very well in my rifle.

Back in the late 70's I had a Rem Mohawk 600 in .243.It had a real plain stock on it but it was a fun little gun.
I should have kept it.

Very interesting,I also had a  Remington Mohawk 6mm back in the seventies. Could not get it to group under 2",the Model Seven is a big step up in quality and looks good too.
