That one looks good to some I have seen. The one I owned had a flat bayonet on it, is that one diamond shape sonny?

It's a spike bayonet,I'm sure it did the intended job.

Those Siberian bear den hunters we viewed should use  a rifle like that, complete with a bayonet. ;)

Maybe Suka would still be around having pups if they had the ol SKS with a bayonet. ;D

My gun buying days have slowed down a lot since I retired but I still sneak one in here and there. ;)

Picked up a used Baikal IJ-12 O/U 12GA..Has a few handling marks but over all it looks pretty darn good.Barrels are 27.5 inch with full over mod.

Gonna try trap shooting with it but have to wait for spring time. :(

I looked at a few Baikal shotguns at the gun show, they looked ok to me, and price was right. My SIL needs a shotgun and his birthday is coming so might look at them again. Range report in spring Sonny.

Here we have a browning hipower the original hi capacity 9mm fighting pistol.
Tons of interesting history behind these superb pieces of engineering.
This particular one was produced in 1977 and allegedly spent the first half of its life in a drawer at a bank.

I remember seeing guite a few HiPowers of different versions when I worked as a kid in a gun shop.

There was the old Canadian Inglis that our troops swear at (not swear by) to this very day.  Then there were the original Liege models, some that were very collectable. The stamps on them came from all over Europe.  The German WW2 models always commanded a high price. The ones with the SS markings always sold fast, and at a very high price.

The current Browning Hi Power is a wonderful 9mm. A nice solid handgun compared to the Glock,Sig,and S&W plastic toys.
Mind you, FN is putting out some nice updated stuff based on the Hi Power. And then there are the Beretta handguns.Same kind of really cool history like the FN Hi Power with that same excellent quality.

Have fun Hammerspur.

Baikal shotguns have one of the toughest box lockups one can find. They have coil springs versus V springs in their box locks which gives those box locks a really tough dependability.

Unfortunately, these days Mr. Putin and the great leader of our country are not eye to eye on  gun stuff and Baikals and parts are not being shipped to Canada.

Buyer beware.

Wifes first Rifle.
Savage axis youth 7mm-08.
Not exactly my style but if she thinks it will prevent me from using it she is probably right.lol
She expressed a interest in hunting this year so I of course used that as a excuse to buy another firearm.
I have always dismissed savage products with the exception of the 99 but She needed something small with a short l.o.p and this was literally the only rifle in town that fit her half decent.
Its growing on me a little bit just because it is so dang short and handy.
The cheap weaver scope that came with it lasted exactly 12 rounds until it broke.
Good thing I have others.
Next days off we will put it through it paces proper.
