KA - BOOM

So with a recent purchase at canadaammo I was sent free of charge three 1lbs packs of KA-BOOM binary explosive targets..

Haven't tried them yet but just wondering..

Anyone have experience with these?

Will a .17hmr set these off or does it take a bigger bang?

Thoughts?

Not sure of a .17 would do it but hey,, take an arm load of guns and shoot at it till it goes ka boom.. How can that be a bad thing lol..

To set it off there has to be a certain fps I don't think a 22 RF will do it maybe a 17hmr will.

I have shot one pound of the stuff placed it a tree about the size of a Christmas tree.  This is no joke sonny be careful I was shocked when the tree completely disappeared. 

Best enjoy the stuff  doubt it is going to be around for long.

So I shot one this afternoon and yup it went KA-BOOM  ;D

I set it out in the open and hit it with my AR 15 (5.56 nato) and holy smokes there was a fireball about six feet in diameter. :o

Next time I'll take wifey along and hopefully we can get a pic of the KA-BOOM.

This stuff is fun and like Jimmy808 said it could be made illegal soon. These three one pounders were free but you know I just might buy some. ;)

Wait a minute...I think I got ripped off. >:(

Or I goofed up.. :-\

I set a 1lb canister on the ground and then set a 1lb canister on top of the bottom one.

I aimed for the bottom canister thinking that it would set off the top canister.Well if you look at the pics (I have the video) you can see that the bottom can went off but the top can just went sailing straight up without going boom.
Gray powder stream going straight up with no bang!!

Hmmm...I need to rethink this... 8)

Maybe a milk jug filled to the top with KA-BOOM..

Sounds like a plan but I'm thinking maybe 200 yards away..  :o
