LE #1mark111
« on: April 01, 2016, 04:13:48 PM »
Darn thing fell out of the sky yesterday and landed right in my lap.. ;D

She's a 1913 number1 mark3 that was FTR IN 1953.All original except the buttstock, upper rear handguard behind rear sight and left trigger guard band.
Receiver, bolt, sights and front wood have all matching numbers. The bayonet is a 1943 but it fits and looks good. ;)

My cost was a SKS + a crate of Bulgarian surplus + 2 bricks of .22lr.

And as a bonus she's a great shooter.. :)

Yeah I did ok on that one but there are still lots of guns on my wish list.

A LE jungle carbine is one of them but I spent lots on guns lately and wifey is starting to give me "the" look.. :(

So I may need to slow it down for awhile.....unless I find a good deal.

Then you will see some major groveling... ;D

"Did OK?"  I'd use a different adjective myself.  I'm in Sk, but if you like when I get home I'll find a link to where you can get the proper bayo and frog.  I've dealt with them before and stuff is described accurately.

*edit*
Took the old girl out this afternoon and she loves Federal blue box 180gr way better than Prvi Partizan 150gr..

I need to try some old grey box Winchester ammo just to keep things honest!!
