We've all heard the old saying.

You can put lipstick on a pig but it's still a pig.

I guess the same can be said about a Savage axis.

You can put a Boyds stock on an axis but it's still an axis.

But it's a darn good looking axis and it shoots great too.Anyways some of you purists may think this is a waste of money but I'm very happy with this rig. ;)

Well you have the nicest looking pig around then. Look at it this way, anyone else got a unique peace like you. I think not! But if the pressure of the purists get to you, I'll take it.

I have a Marlin XT .17hmr with a crappy plastic stock on it and I may get a Boyds for it too.. ;)
