Hey...the price was right so why not. ;)

A 1950 sks with an unopened spam can of ammo for $200,can't beat that..

..just incase of Zombies..lol..

Not to derail the OPs thread or anything ... but I wonder if anyone ever did a build on one.

They have a lot going for them but tend to be marginalized due to accuracy issues, the fact that they are common and inexpensive.

We can't have full auto and we can't have more than 5 rounds because 6 magically places the public in danger so whats left.... frills and.... improved accuracy.

If one could be re-barrels and prehaps rechambered... I wonder what might be achievable.

Or am I out to lunch even thinking it?

Thoughts?

Oh and... great find Sonny... you seem to have the bug and bad too ;)

An sks is what it is...an inexpensive semi auto center fire rifle and you can get dirt cheap military surplus ammo for it.

Sure you can dress them up in an ATI stock to make them look badass and you can even put a scope on them if you want. ;)

I even shot a white tail buck with one a few years ago.Yes softpoint ammo is available for the sks.

To bad we are limited to 5 round mags because I would love to bumpfire 40 rounds like our brothers to the south.. ;D
