New to Medicine Hat
« on: September 16, 2012, 12:40:11 AM »
So I am new to the Medicine Hat area from Winnipeg, and went and purchased my gun club membership at the local sporting good store and was kinda shocked at the prices at this store and after some checking he appeared to be the only shop in town. Thinking now I would have to make trips outside to get my supplies. So in the mean time I went out to the local range (very nice place to shoot). And in conversation I found out about a guy in Redcliff that is running a little shop right out of his house. Thinking how much stuff could a guy keep in his house I got his card from another shooter out at the range made a call and 1/2 hour later I am standing in his basement in total amazement, He has more choices than just about any store I have been in  and carries all of the major bullet manufactures and a huge selection of each, I guess he is associated with Rayn'er Shine Gunworks from sask. I spent a ton of money there and will make this my go to place for all of my shooting supplies. And his prices were better than the big stores on most of his stuff. I told the owner I will tell everyone about his little shop. Check it out on the web and give him a call. www.raynershinegunworks.com

Was recently there as well.  I'm a big fan of any small business startup and have no problem dealing out of someone's basement.
Son wanted to hunt deer with his CZ and the only place I found 7.62X39 hunting rounds was in a redcliff basement.
Bought son 3 boxes (he had 4 but I figured I'd leave one in case someone else wanted one).  Turns out son only needed one bullet.  Could've saved myself a few bucks.   ;D
