Well I did it dropped a few bills and picked up a Finnlight 300WSM topped it off with a Zeiss 3.5-10x44 and switched out the hockey puck for a limbsaver.
I know the scope adds weight but with the rifle coming in under 6 1/2lbs I figure I should be able to pack it just about anywhere. Now have to see if it's going to bite on the back end as bad as the front end
Anyone shooting one of these? Which bullets do they seem to like? I picked up some Trophy Bonded 180grns going against every thing telling me to go with the 165's

I shoot the same with a McMillan.
And it seems to enjoy Berger VLD 168 grainers.

Joe, when reloading the 300 WSM or WM, I don't think you can ever go wrong with 180 grain bullets. I shoot the WM and 180's are all I shoot. My favorite powder is IMR-4350, but there are a lot of good offerings; range time will guide you.
