Scopes on a Ruger 223 ....for Yotes

 What is your take on 4x12 ...in a reasonable price
  range . Any suggestions greatfully accepted .

I'm a Leupold guy through and through. Never been let down by a Leupold, I have by a couple other brands not my Leupolds

Been eying up a VX 3I 6.5-20x40mm for my 300wsm. Or even the VX-2 4-12x40 either one I know would serve me great. Im a fan of the Duplex sights as well, clear good in low light. For me it would be one of these two.

I put a Bushnell Trophy XLT 6-18x40 on my .223 and am not happy with it at all.It's ok up to 200 yards but farther than that it just doesn't focus very clear especially at higher power settings.
I have no experience with Leupolds but I'm sure that they are good.I also have a couple Vortex Diamondbacks which I like.
Also have a Burris Fullfield which is pretty good.On my .30-06 I have an old Armsport 3-9x40.I don't even know if they still make these but it's been a great scope.

That's about all I can add.

I'm a Leupold fan also, I selected a Leupold VX2 2-7x33 for my new Ruger No1 in 275 Rigby. I do have other scopes on other guns, but I like to go with Leupold when ever I can.

Leupold owner here.

I going to be sending an old old Vari VII down to the boys in Red Deer real soon for repair. The verticle reticle went a little to the right, yet the gun still shoots like it is supposed to at 100yds. ??? :o

I notice Leupold owners sell their guns with no problem, but always keep the Leupold optic.

If you end up with a brand new loopy vx2 or however they write that now they are a pretty good scope for glass clarity.  Some of the cheaper scopes kind of kicked there ass until recontly.
