Anybody use Score steel shotshells for ducks and geese?

WSS has them on for a darn good price.

That's cause nobody wants them. 2 3/4", #2 steel at 1400 fops, may as well throw rocks at em.

Steel sucks when you get the best of the best never mind the low end stuff. Your money for meat way ahead to spend a little extra on good quality shells. I wouldn't even wear out my barrel shooting skeet with that stuff lol.

But they also have 3 inch BB at 1550 fps

Yes I'm sure this stuff is not as good as the high priced stuff but just wondering if anyone actually tried this ammo.

You know me...always looking for bargains.  ;D

The 3" BB may be worth a try sonny. I have not shot these particular shells but I have experimented with a few other bargain shot shells as for a few years I was buying for myself and 3 sons all sitting in blinds together so trust me I tried to find a cheaper way. We are predimently Goose and Malard shooters so big birds. Let me tell you it does not pay. When all you see and hear shot after shot is BB's bouncing off their wings and puffs of feathers and no downed birds you lose interest in the cheap stuff. They can't make a steel shot good enough, never mind trying to make them cheap,, get what I'm saying. Yes they will shoot and make a Big Bang, what happens at the other end is what counts. Why shoot 3 boxes of shells at $12 a box to kill 5 birds when you can shoot 1 box at $25 and kill 10 birds..

Last time I went goose hunting was back in the early 1980"s up in the Berwyn area.Lead shot was still legal back then and a 3 inch load of # 2's worked just fine back then.
Once years ago when I was a young lad I had my Ithaca XL300 12 gauge out and had it loaded with the old Imperial 2 3/4 inch shell with #6 shot.Hey I was just out for chickens lol
Well all of a sudden a flock of geese fly up from the near bye river and flew overhead no more than 30 yards away.
I let go on the front goose and the bugger went down...Lucky shot I guess.  :)

I'm thinking I'm due for a goose hunt. ;)

They work on birds.  I've hunted with them but prefer other loadings.  Try them out.  Could always use them on cripples on the ground.
