Will be the most used, when I need more weight will go with the 338.Looking for a flat shooting, hard  hitting ,low recoil bullet for deer size game.

I am not sure what the twist rate would be on a factory Remi 700 but I have to say I love the .280 Rem.

As many of you know I bought each of my 3 sons .280's and these guns have served us well. The older boy has taken quite a number of game with his already. He has taken 3 moose now I believe with it and all never made more than a few steps. He has made some fantastic shots on deer with his gun as well. He has shot mainly 140gr factory loads out of it. Like I said I am not sure what the factory twist rate would be but from what I have seen out of these guns, they are at the top of my list for all round caliber,, very impressive rifles.

I would almost eat this keyboard if it wasn’t 1-10 walleyes.

You can check if you like but what works works…
