Winchester model 88 value??

Asking for a friend..

He has a Winchester 88 in .308,made in 1967 and is in mint shape with only one small ding in the forearm.

Trying to put a value on it but I don't really know.I was thinking in the $800 - $1000 range but I could be way off base here.

Any of you gents have an idea? ???
