SPF, thanks.

Rifle is SPF, thanks.

Selling my wife's Axis youth 7mm-08 as I've bought her a new Browning micro in 7-08 to replace it.

A one paragraph backround:  I started my wife with a marlin 30-30, she shot it, "ok" but not consistant and simply didn't like the gun.  I moved her to a win ranger in 375 which she liked better but still wasn't real consistant with it, although she did get her first deer with it.  I next tried some light loads in my blr 30-06 but still just not consistant despite shooting, "ok" groups.  I read about the savage lady hunter so we looked at one last Feb.;  she said it felt good but we were both loathe to spend the money on another trial.  Cabela's also had an axis youth in stock;  she shouldered it and said it felt the same, so we bought it.  Finally, success.  We found the size/calibre that works for her.  Now I've bought her the browning as a rifle that will last her as long as she wants to hunt.

We broke the axis in as per the old Browning recommendation and it's fired exactly 130 rounds.  The final load we've used is 46.5gr of IMR 4350 and either a hornady 139 or nosler 140.  She shoots groups varying from about 3/4" to about 1 3/8" with it depending on the day.  If you allow it to cool for a few minutes you can repeat those groups, if you keep shooting the groups will open up as the barrel heats up.   It's a proven one shot deer killer.

My take:  if you're looking for an affordable rifle to start someone of small stature out with on a budget you can't go wrong with one of these.  The action is surprisingly nice and it shoots as stated.

Far as price we paid 370 for this new, so what's fair?  How about I'll ask 350 shipped and you make me an offer?  Take off 35 bucks if you can pick it up here in Bow Island or Leth.

Sorry for the pics, it's cold outside today.  There's not a mark on the rifle, it looks as new.  Any questions, just ask.
thanks.

Do you have ammo to go with it?

Sorry, no but I can't see finding factory ammo a problem.  Far as I know the only thing short right now is gunpowder.  If you have trouble finding brass or bullets I know of a few places you can get it if it's not available locally to you.
