Don't know if ANYONE can answer a small engine question about an ice auger??
i have an older Jiffy 3hp auger.
i brought it to a mechanic for a small gas leak.
got it back and had lots of idling and power problems. wouldn't idle, didn't have the power to rotate while trying to dig.
took it back again, they got it running but it will not idle at all.
they say it's as good as it'll get.
i took it there with a gas leak, they returned it with power and idle issues!!!!
am i getting robbed here? any tips?? thanks in advance, gw

Your mechanic is an idiot !! There is no such thing as that's as good as it gets,, it's a machine it can be fixed,, take it to another shop with qualified people in it.

As far as this guy goes,, you are more than likely out the dollars it cost you,, what else can you do..

It is sad to hear about crappy service. If you have paid using credit card they might give you the option of reverse charge by you cc holder. Check on line for history when looking for new mechanic. I am sure there is a member here can help you out as well.
