drop away rests?
« on: February 18, 2012, 07:26:27 AM »
so i was thinking on picking up a new drop away rest for my bow. its kinda a toss up between the ripcord rest or the QAD ultra-rest. just looking for some opinions on which one is a better drop away and why. thanx for your input.

I know alot of guys that have used the QAD rests but I havent had any success with them.  Have bought 2 and just couldnt get them to work properly.  Was always getting some sort of fletch contact.  Make sure you get the lockdown version if you go that way.  I have been using the G5 Expert II and have great success with these.  It get out of the way and is very user friendly (idiot proof really and I definitely need that).  I have one on my 3D bow as well as my hunting bow.  I have never tried the Ripcord so really cant offer an opinion on that one.

Good luck.  I am definitely a big believer in a drop away rest.
