Ground blinds?
« on: September 14, 2011, 09:52:09 AM »
Just wondering what some of you guys are using for pop-up portable ground blinds. Looking at the primos, redhead, and ameristep products. Would like to get one for no more than the $250.00 range. Any pros and cons for the ones listed above? Would like it to sit two confortably with some gear, useing for both bow and rifle. Any suggestions?
Thank CBB

I have numerous blinds that I have tried and I like the Ameristep product and price.  They make a wide variety of sizes but for 2 people I would look for one that is at least 75" wide and 64" tall.  If you are bowhunting then I recommend this size for even one person as it takes alot of room to draw a bow back.  I have bought smaller and was not happy with the difficulty in being able to go to full draw in blind.  The Ameristep Doghouse is such an example, the blind is too small for me when I am bowhunting.  When I am at full draw I am touching both sides of the blind.  It works with a rifle though (but only 1 person).  Size Matters!  :D
