yup for sure
Have a knife that was specially made for me that worked just fantastic to dress him out.
Have another knife that was very instrumental in caping him out as well

Ya he was a good mature buck
His teeth are worn down pretty good
This isn't the buck that I was originally going after, but was an awesome consolation when the bigger boy left the area for parts unknown

Awesome trophy , will make a good wall hanger. What caliber and what gun did you use? (It's all abut the tools)

Took three 120 grain partitions from my 25-06 to put him down
After the first one he just stood there and didn't move
He was dead on the first one but didn't know it
was not till the third one hit him that he fell over
when we opened him up there was nothing but jelly in his chest cavity

Sounds like a good kill on a old warrior.

Thats funny, I shot a Muley last week with my 25-06 too with exactly the same result. Gave him one in the lungs at about 90 yards. He went west 20 yards and jumped the fence and stopped. Gave him a 2nd one (wondering how the hell I missed the first one). After the 2nd one he ran right at me and turned at about 15 yards. Gave him a 3rd one (far back) that cartwheeled him. It wasnt til I skinned him that I got the whole story. First 2 were right in the boiler room and all that was left of heart & lungs was red goo. How he got over that fence and did the running he did is beyond me lol.

What a cool caliber though eh? This is my first one and I'm in love. Shot it in the yard here out to 450 out of the vice and I was pleasantly surprised with its groups. It seems to like the Hornady American Whitetail 117 grains :) Lookin forward to reachin out and crushin some wolves this winter.

I originally loaded the 120grain Hornady hollow point but found that they were fragmenting and not exiting.
Went to the nosler partitions and got through and throughs

You could definitely tell on the first shot that he was hit as he jumped and just stood there.
When I skinned this old warrior out I found a 1 1/2 inch hole on the entrance side and a 3 inch hole on the exit side where the first two shots were virtually side by side.
My third shot I purposely took out his shoulders to drop him and could see the evidence as well
All the shots were in the 300 yard range.

And you betcha ......I absolutely love my 25 and am excited to find out more of what it can actually do

Next year Im gonna try an Elk with mine if I don't get one in archery season.

This morning the wife filled her doe tags with it. A 280 yard shot and a 320 yard shot both in the head. Im not sure what to be more impressed with, the wife or the gun! Lol
