What are your favorite .22 shells and why?

Do you know of any deals on .22 ammo?

Whatever is cheapest at Walmart. My kid and his friends go through them too fast to be able to afford anything else.

For target/silhouette, the American Eagle solids. For gophers, the Federal Champion HP's. Just about anything will shoot well out of my CZ452 and good ol' Savage 6D. My Remington 597HB is a lot fussier.

Winchester Xpert bulk pack...

They are reasonably cheap, and shoot really well in my CZ.

The big hollow point seems to give a pretty good POP on gophers too!!

i just checked ufa yesterday. american eagle 36 gr hps, which shoot awesome in all my 22's, were 23.99 a brick; 400rds. winchester dynapoints, 31.99 brick, 500 rds. that equates to  2.4o and 3.20 a box, respectively.
you get another 10% for buying a case.
last year i bought 2 cases for 139.00. wish i had the money for 10! lee
