A few archery whitetail deer going down
« on: September 06, 2011, 08:45:37 PM »
Well I know of 2 5x5 archery bucks in the last 4 days, one hard horned, one in full velvet. The full velvet buck was from a ground blind with a recurve in the Lac La Biche area, my cousins stucco guy actually, he showed us pics on Saturday, very impressive. The hard horned 5x5 I saw today guy took it yesterday evening from a tree stand near Sylvan Lake. I will try and get pics of both. Anyone else hear of any good deer being taken?

Yah I have heard of a couple going down in the south as well. My middle boy has been out for Mulies a couple times now but hasn't found one he liked yet. He isn't being to picky but wants a bit of horn. I hope he tags one he practiced a lot this summer getting ready it would be great to see him fill a tag.

Paul was the stucco guy John. S. ??

I believe that's the guy Terry. Drives a burgundy Toyota, he's doing the stone and stucco on Dave's basement.

There will be some studs going down this year. I'm thinking the horn growth was better than average with all the rain we had.

After the crops are cut the deer will be easier to locate and pattern.

I found a couple of CRANKER typical whities while out bowhunting mulies the other day. That has changed my focus for now. Hopefully I can connect!  :)
