Just a funny pic to lighten the mood. Not directed at any one person. Honest. Just trying to get everyone to laugh and move on.

Please don't pm me again. If you have something to say, ask on the board. Your wife already asked you not to pm me, don't put me on the spot please and thanks!!! I have no problem with you since you asked. Just want everyone to play nice :)

That includes me! Sorry if the pic wasn't funny or "classy"

I am a trucker after all lol ;)

Come on Justin! There is a time even I'd get the hint. Time for you too. No sense getting booted over such petty stuff!

I love how when somebody's opinion is not the popular one everybody on the forum jumps all over a guy.
Sorry I don't ice fish or hunt rabbits, but I did stay at a Holliday in express last night.

Definitely some beauties there Darcy,, would be nice.. Problem is that darn Yukon gas priced itself out of range,, I mean I am no poor man either but gee whiz,, I don't want to takeout a 10 year loan to go kill an animal..

I agree. Mountain caribou are the most impressive looking in my opinion.
To Huntress, like I said before, what you're trying to do is great. Hunter training course, PAL course (if he wants to own his own gun and/or hunt without someone at his side). I like to take new hunters out. I was lucky enough that hunting was in my family, some don't have that opportunity.

Thanks buddy G! You're right about being fortunate that was part of your family growing up (and now too obviously). I'm a first generation hunter in my family. Single moms didn't get their kids into hunting much when I was growing up lol.

Back to Caribou, is there anywhere in Canada you can hunt Caribou without going through an outfitter/guide? For ME, not for Natives. Cuz for me to hunt Caribou up in Nunavut they only issue 'x amount' of out of province caribou draws and they are usually only issued to guides/outfitters. And I've hear that hunts are around 30k.

I know that in the Yukon they have a program much like our hunter host program in Alberta (only for caribou, moose and black bears. Can't hunt sheep or grizzlies unless you go through an outfitter, if memory serves me right).  The only catch being that you'd need to know someone (Yukon resident) that could host you.
As far as going through an outfitter, you should be able to find a hunt for significantly less than 30k.  Going rate for most hunts would be more like 8-9k.

Just read this article online, had no idea what Harper's gov't was doing behind closed doors....this is pretty hefty stuff. Looks like some SERIOUS changes are just on the horizon for all FN....

http://www.globalresearch.ca/canada-prime-minister-harper-launches-first-nations-termination-plan/5318362

Bye bye treaty rights....bye bye status...

Wow. I'm just floored by this. Has anyone else heard about this????

LOL no sympathy seeking here. I don't like preferential treatment either, but I just saw this article and was shocked! Wondered if there was any validity to it....or if I've been living under a rock for 6 months lol.
