Trail cam pics are not always just about getting pics of big trophy critters.  Here is a "walt Disney" shot.  And also "bambie" all growed up.

The season is open around here but I am still sort of in a scouting mode.  It has been kind of worm for hunting for my liking.  But there has been frost on the pumpkin for a few days now.

But here are some trail cam pics.
A moose that I do not have a tag for this year.

Actually I didn't set anything out here.  It was a scrape last year and they are scraping again there this year.  The other buck is at a natural scrape as well and the moose just happened to walk by on the same trail.

When I do put something out in front of a camera to stop game there, I just chew up a "scotch mint" and spit it on the ground.  The smell seems to make animals stop and sniff at it. Maybe they lick up the pieces.
