Black Bear Outfitter in Canada?

Looking for a trustworthy outfitter in the wonderful country of Canada. Looking to hunt spring black bear.

I'm trying to take my 71 year old father to get a nice bear. I had gotten an advertisement from Cabelas for a few places, one around Prince George BC that looked good (don't have the outfits name yet). Looking for other recommendations.

I could go somewhat local, but the bears just aren't as big down here in my neck of the woods (Idaho).

Any help or recommendations appreciated. Thanks for your time.

What are you looking for in a hunt?  Over bait or spot and stalk?  BC has some great bears but the hunt will be spot and stalk, not sure of the capabilities of your father.  If you want to hunt over bait then Alberta or Saskatchewan would work well for you.

Check out Mike Ukrainetz of mikesoutfitting.com

He has a variety of spring and fall black bear hunts and has a lot of experience that should be able to fit your needs.

Over bait would certainly be easier but Dad is capable of covering some ground still.  I hate to say this, but whichever will give the best chance at a big bear. I doubt I'll be able to do this again any time soon for Dad and I.
