I haven't been out in the bush anywhere but where we hunt upland birds north of lethbridge/coaldale and where I have my mulie buck tag has been quiet. We haven't seen anyone else out yet. One pheasant season opens it will be a little busier but for deer in my zone its always quiet, that's what a 9 year draw wait does. I am wanting to get out in the foothills in southern alberta for some ruffies but not really sure where to go, im sure theres lots of elk hunters out there. Weste, im interested in your montana experience for a couple reasons. 1) Did you go unguided? 2) Was it hard to get a tag and land to hunt on? 3) Did you see many upland birds? Myself and my buddy are wanting to hunt antelope again soon and have also looked into going to montana or south Dakota upland bird hunting.
