You might not be impressed with it but I bet a lot of guys from Saskatchewan might liek the idea as it might limit non residents from comming over there a bit.
I totally understand, some areas get absolutely hammered with non res hunters. It sucks though for me as the group I go with hunts several different zones all across the province. They sometimes cover a lot of ground, and it is a hindrance for them if I am with and can only hunt one zone, especially if they are near the edges of a few different zones. If some of them would get their bucks in the south, they can get another tag for the north zones, so we could still hunt together the last week. Now I have to pick and stick to a zone, and depending on their scouting and farmer reports etc, it may not be the best choice for them for the last week of November. It just kills a lot of flexability that I had been able to enjoy over the years. I am still going to apply and see how things go for this year.
