A doe caught me with my pants down at 6:45 pm last night.
I quickly pulled them up and got a great shot off on her at 22 yards. Passed a full length goldtip (32") with 5" shields through a shoulder and a rib. The arrow vanished through her so fast I thought for a second I could have missed, but she only ran 20 yards. Thats less then the distance she was from my tree, and it was all over in a mater of seconds.
Have to say I was really impressed with the silver flame penetration, but the blood trail didn't exist. There was tons where the arrow lay a few yards behind where she was hit and even more where she lay, but I wasn't able to connect the two locations even having seen her walk from one to the other.
I'll be posting a picture soon and maybe a story about a moose too.
Happy hunting,
PS I'm saving the shoulder to show those wheel guys what a real bow with an even better arrow can do.

Adam Brennan
