Drake's Deer

I took Drake out deer hunting for a couple days to fill a tag at the end of the year with him.  We found him this nice deer for him and he decide to use his tag on him and be done for the season. 
He got a euro mount done and it looked good.  Then this year I offered to mount it up for him so I got a cape and did a mount for him.  I just got it painted today.  Hopefully he likes it when he comes to pick it up.  I think it turned out o.k.  Next on my list is  a Steenbok I shot in Africa a few years ago.  It is going to be a lifesized mount and will give me a bit of a challenge I imagine.

Getting a little more comfortable with it.  Still got a long ways to go!  Hopefully I can round up half a dozen or so this coming season and get some more practice.  I might try and do a couple African animals after my trip as well.  Also plan on doing the prep work on my Buffalo and Leopard before they get mounted.  Kind of excited to get those done if I end up being successful!!

Nube also wiped my bum, pre-chewed my food and burped me when i was done eating....
