Great Weekend Shoots.
« on: September 17, 2017, 05:46:12 PM »
The boys all came home this weekend, been a long time since we all got out for a shoot, quite a few years it was great. No issues filling our bag limit on geese and a few ducks as a kicker. The boys also went out again this morning and had a good shoot.

Another good shoot, you guys seem to have it dialed in pretty good.  What type of set up for decoys and blinds do you guys use?

We run some decent lay down blinds nothing overly expensive but decent stuff. Decoys this time of year we run about 6 dozen, we will increase it later in the fall up to 10 dozen maybe. We run about 2 dozen full bodies, 2 dozen shells and 2 dozen collapsible decoys. In our country this time of year the birds are quite brave as they haven't been shot at a lot yet, as the season wears on they get a little more blind shy.

Yah I don't know greylynx I have no experience with them. We sure do like our wind sock decoys. I call them collapsible but they are actually wind sock decoys. They work well and pack up easy. Most of our stuff we buy used we just watch kijiji and infomall and grab stuff as we see decent buys.
