Leaving in 2 days for Africa with another forum member to Zimbabwe. It has been almost a 2 year wait. Hunting the spotted cat. First Leopard I get on bait over 150lbs is getting a hole in it. Got buffalo and at least 10 other species on the list as well as bait animals. It should be fun. Already had soem major drama with the Army comming into the Save Concervancy ( 1 Million Acres) and kicking out all the white people. We have now regrouped and will be hunting 60 miles from there in an area that has not been hunted in 5 years. I have 350 000 acres for the 2 buddies and myself with no other hunters in it and it has only been hunted by half a dozen people so far this year. Hopefully ther will be a picture of Mr. Spots when I get back.

Sitting in Harare Zimbabwe right now overnight. Taking the bush plane for about 3-400 KM tomorrow to camp. What a long ride it has been to get here...... especially with guns. I might also add this country has some scary stuff going on around here as well. Crazy. Last time with internet. See you in 3 weeks with a few pics!!!!

Just got back into Harare. Ended the hunt a couple days short as it went so well. Got 17 animals including 4 impala and one zebra for bait. My leopard is 7' 4" and weighed in at 75 KG's. It has been the second heaviest cat my PH has killed with 33 leopards! Got my buff as well as a kudu over 60" which is the equivalent of a 200" whitetail. I also got many other species which scored a gold medal award and from what the 4 PH's in camp told me they have never seen a safari like this!! One of them said he hasn't seen one like this for 27 years. I feel real blessed to have accomplished what I have. the only regret I will have is the bill in a few weeks.lol Truly a trip of a lifetime! Pics when I get home and get sorted out.

Sounds like a great hunt!!! Funny though I always thought Leopards were bigger than our mountain lions? Congrats Nube!!
