It Is On
« on: November 06, 2018, 10:07:26 AM »
Well, the time is here.  Going in to set up the wall tent for 10 days.
2 bull moose tags.  A bunch of whitetail tags and an elk tag.
Packing up now and will set up camp Thursday morning.  The weather looks great.
Should be a good time.
I think I see a rip in the social fabric, Brother can you spare some ammo?

Between the 2 moose tags we had, only one got filled.  3 deer were also taken.
WMU348 was kind of a bust really.  I don't think I would hunt there again.

I will elaborate more when I get some time.

Posting a couple of pics from camp this year.
I love life in November in a wall tent.  We have whole procedure perfected after so many years of doing it.

One really cool thing I forgot to mention this year was our encounter with some wild pigs.  Saw a group of 8 of them north of Niton.
They were in a pasture near some willows not far from a farm yard.  My first thought was they were tame wild boars but no they were not fenced in at all.
Should have stopped and talked to the farmer there.  Maybe could have brought home the bacon.

Nice Axe, love my tent, I think my wife and I are headed out this weekend to set up for a few days. Get the old fire going and a stew on top of the wood stove. Winter camping at its best. Maybe get a yote or two.
