Jesse Connects For His Client.
« on: September 28, 2016, 03:30:39 PM »
Well my son connected on a nice bull for his client. Day 3 of their hunt on a bull Jesse has been playing with for 2 days. Jesse text me yesterday afternoon saying they had seen a cow cross the line earlier in the day and she was making some calls. I told him I figured it had a small bull with it and she didn't care for him, she wanted the big one, literally lol. We discussed it and we figured he better stick close around her. He called in the area until dark last night I told him to make his client stick it out it will pay off. They got no response last night he thought he may have heard a couple grunts far off but wasn't sure. They got back in position early this morning and called with no response at first, then after some time I'm not sure how long he heard the grunts coming from quite a distance, they stuck it out. The bull came out to 29 yards and his client did his job and downed him. Jesse said he came from quite a distance as he was quite worked up and sweated like crazy when they took him.

I couldn't be prouder of my boy, first year and first hunt as a guide and he gets a dandy bull for his client.

You see what I mean about patients boys as we were discussing in the calling post, it's very important.

Well done my boy.
The client not my son in the pic.

great job! nice bull to!  Where was his client from?  Hearing and seeing stories like this make me miss my guiding days in college, especially fishing camp in the summer.  Work for me doesn't allow for summer or fall guiding but my buddy and me are tossing around the idea of buying some bear tags and running a spring camp.

Jesse called last night, they just got all the meat out of the bush. His client is from South Dakota, Jesse said a really nice fellow and experienced hunter so he was lucky there. And now a happy hunter with a nice cape and horns. Jesse caped it out for him and he will be doing a shoulder mount I guess, good for him.
