Let's See Some Swamp Donkeys
« on: May 12, 2011, 07:15:45 PM »
No moose yet on the new board, so let's get going here.  Any moose, big and tough, small and tasty!
I'll start.

Awesome Axe.  I think if I remember right you could fill this thread up with pictures of all of the moose you and your friends have killed!

Walleyes, good pics, thanks.  I have to ask you about that wall tent in the pics.  It looks big and well made.  Army tent?????

Axe how are the moose doing up your way?

I think the winter was not as bad as I thought it might be.  I think it looks promising.

Here is my bull from 2009.....my second bull (first was an archery bull).  Shot this bull on my first 20 minutes of hunting for the season, not quite as big as I wanted but it filled the tag quickly and allowed me to hunt more with my wife that year.

This is a bull my Dad killed in 2010.  Its been almost 20 years since he has shot a bull and he shot it in the same WMU, same rifle, used the same knife to field dress it.  He shot this bull within a km of where I shot mine.    Hoping to help Duk Dog and his Dad this year with a couple of big old monster bulls!!

Heres some big BC sheds!!

Axeman..

Yes its an old U.S. military tent,, picked it up a couple years back at Crown Surplus in Calgary.

Its a 16 x 24 tent. Its a dandy for a big group. You can very comfortably put a half dozen cots and a big kitchen with 8' table in it. Its a heavy bugger but they are built like tanks.. Nothing on the market even comes close to the way these things are built. I have a smaller 14 x 16 that we use when its just a couple of us out but for the bigger groups this one is nice to have..

Some great moose. I've never really hunted them too much before but am likely going to try and pull a tag this year.

Great pictures guys...Looking at some of the locations that these moose were dropped, required extra manpower to get them out...
