A little late posting the story but we had a great hunt up north for my mule deer this year. We hardly saw any bucks worth chasing, which is unusual for the area but we did our best. We had a few close calls with the elk as well, but just couldn't close the deal. It was a great week with the familly and one they won't soon forget. I will post a couple of pics shortly when I get my photobucket issues figured out.....
 On our last day we went for a tour in the middle of the afternoon and here was 2 bucks out in the middle of a field. We had permission on the land but not till the next day as some other hunters were hunting the property at the time.
A quick call to the gracious landlord and he gave us his permission as well as his blessing. A short stalk, and a quick shot, and it was all over but the work! Huge bodied deer so it was a grunt dragging him back to the truck but it was well worth it. Best part of it was the familly was there with me for the hunt and the pics. Their smiles say it all, in my opinion..

Gunna try to. Have to get this school stuff out of the way and then gunna see what the office has planned. But we will for sure get out at some point of the season!
