New hunting blind
« on: May 08, 2019, 09:59:09 PM »
Well not new really, just a converted ice shack. Not using the ice shack much anymore, mostly use the portable. Decided to cut the windows a bit bigger and put in one of our best fields. As you can see I am sure as hell no artist, sort of stands out now but should be good in the fall. We put it out about the first of April to give it lots of time, going to be putting up a couple of trail cams soon to see whats coming around this year.

Looks decent it should fade some in a year or so doesn’t really matter the animals will be used to it in a couple weeks anyways.

Looks good, Agritech!  Ground blinds are great.

I built a good tree stand at the farm.  I really haven't much of a chance to use it yet though.  Lots of game on the trail cam under it though.
Maybe this year I will try to sit in it more.  It overlooks a nice little clearing in the bush.
Pic attached.

The guide did ask permission to cross my land with his tractor to remove the blind. I gave him permission.

He lives about three miles from my property.  Why can't he use his own property for guiding?

Put some trail cams out by the shack about a month or so ago.......................we definitely got it in a great spot. Nothing much for horn growth yet just little nubs starting mostly,  with one whitetail showing some potential.

That won't happen, access is chained off during hunting season.

Some trail pics from the shack. They all like chewing/licking the stick which is about 5 feet from the blind. I cut the little tree off to open up a shooting lane but am thinking about cutting a different tree off a little farther from the shack

Cool pics, funny they are attracted to that stick hey. Must be the smell coming off of it that attracts them.

Got to love sitting and spotting game in front of you

with a injury this is one way I have the advantage

my blinds are just the logs on mill cuts

I like having the prevailing wind coming into the way I face

hills are my trick I like to be looking down always

some times I will call animals into stands

2 miles or less … sometimes driving then calling them in

I look at it as how many hectors can I see into

optics make my days easier n fun

see with out intruding on the lives

even have a heater for my front

over the years this has served well

Food for Thought
