Anyone else have a kid that will be hunting for their first year this fall? My oldest boy turns 12 the first part of Dec. so we will be trying for some late season tags for him. And if they dont pan out it sounds like a good friend is gunna run a cat for him and we will try and make his first big game animal a cougar. No matter what we will be hunting im some pumped to have him able to put in for draws and pack the rifle this year.He is shooting the .280AI like a pro so when he gets the tags I feel bad for the animals he will be after. SG
neither can they.

Remember the Junior Pheasant Program all you central Albertan guys. Its a free program that runs east of Innisfail on the weekends starting in September. The only request is they have taken hunter training and the family has a F&G membership for insurance reasons or a Youth membership can be bought for about 8 bucks i believe.

We took my son over there last year. The boys had a great time. I plan on volunteering some time this fall (it's only 4 miles from our farm). Dan and the other volunteers have done a great job with that program.
