Not a Biggy

Not a biggy, but he will do. Day 6 of a 7 day hunt. Saw nothing no tracks. Cept day 3 saw where one was bedded down near a abandon lease. Then nothing nothing nothing. Few fresh grizz bear tracks, but that's all. Dang rain and wet snow was a bugger. Dang had a hard time getting out of the bush. Needed Cat Power. hehehe
We were wet and out of propane in the trailer.
Never hunted that area before. Worked there but never hunted. I ain't goin back there either. Moose moved a few steps after the first shot but he was hit hard through the lungs. But still standing so I let him have it again and dropped like a sack of hammers.
It was fun. An adventure I will never forget.

Your freezer will be full of the best meat and your winter will be well provisioned.

Thanks for the comments guys. Ya know the amazing part was in 7 days we saw no other hunters or humans. Rare in Alberta these days. Maybe we were the only stupid ones for going in there? Lots of grouse we only shot 3 though. Not our prime target.
Dang just a lack of critters there. Could not even cut a coyote track. Just the grizz tracks. Critters back there but my opinon is few and far between. Persistance paid off in the long run though.
Don't think I will hunt that area again, went in pretty much blind. But I learned.
If you think that boy was played out ya should of seen me that nite. hehe
