Nov 16th Cranker BC Billy
« on: November 21, 2011, 08:14:05 AM »
We spent a couple weeks looking for a good billy and came up with this guy on the 12th day
Needless to say my hunting partner was pretty pleased when this guy went down.

Love seeing them big 10" goats. Good job!

I hunt sheep to see over the next mountain not to measure the next trophy!

Wow what a tank !! Those late season Billies must have an amazing cape !! I have wondered how the heck you guys can plow through the snow high enough to get to them..Congrats .

Goat was 10 5/8 x 5 5/8 bases, green scored 51 inches even
Nothing easy about goats, there are three trophies on a hunt like
this, the horns, the cape and the story

I strongly agree with your statement and congratulations

Usually we use snowshoes, but have been known to forget them at home.  ::)

What style of Snowshoe Dan ? I have only tried the aluminum compact type and was not impressed. I have been told the longer style work the best ?  Thats still hard work i bet with the snow ,pack and snowshoes and a tough climb..  I hope to do another hunt in the next couple years and will wait at least until October.
