Rough Spring for Baiting!

Any of the rest of you fellas struggling to get your baits out? We are in the process of rigging in 40 bait sites and the only way to describe it is it has been an epic struggle! Lol. There is still 3 feet of snow in some places making quad travel impossible. We went and got an Argo and even the 8 wheel Argo on tracks struggles in places! What a heck of a grunt this year.

The boy and I never got ours out this past weekend, now I am back at work. Hopefully Sam has the time after school to get one started for us before it gets to late in the season.

Maybe we can say spring finally hit the snow sure went the last couple days here. Going to maybe get out for a scout next week. Maybe quads will get around by then? Not sure though.

Our yard and field has melted nice but some of the lines still have 2 feet and more in places. Ive had to use the Argo to get everything rigged in as the quad wont go anywhere. It has been getting better slowly but theres still a long way to go before the quad will go to all of them. This has far and away been the hardest rig in we have ever seen. We finally finished rigging in all our sites (30+) last night and are looking forward to losing the rest of the snow in a big hurry! The Argo is great for getting in and out but is very slow going. Good thing we have some very hardworking people helping us out this year or we would be hooped!
The area we live in got belted with more snow than anywhere else in the province unfortunatley.
Our first hunters arrive tomorrow and start hunting Wednsday night. Hopefully we have some pictures to share real soon!

The snow should be getting less everyday. Driving back from BC yesterday and I seen a huge boar eating dandelions on the side of a cultivated field. First one of the year and it was a mature boar.

4 inches + of snow last night sure didnt help! Spent the afternoon checking baits and there sure isnt a whole lot of activity out there. Looks like things are supposed to smarten up by Thursday and bring some much needed warmth.
Hows everybody else makin out?

Snow and cold, I had three air conditioning service calls lined up for this week that won't be done, as the recovery machine works best above + 10. My yard looks just like 2 weeks ago .
