I've alway just used cheaper rubber boots with the insoles either Baffin or what ever make. The last couple years CT has had a better quality one in that I like and they are still reasonable. Yes they are cheap and wear out quick, i have worn out a pair in a good fall but really who cares, $70 a year for good foot wear to me is worth it. The last couple years I even use them as a hiker for my late Nov deer hunts. Last year I put on well over 75 miles on foot in a pair. What I have been doing is putting gel pack liner in the bottom of the boot between the felt pack and boot bottom, makes a very comfortable boot for walking. For the money I like them, warm easy to dry and reasonably light wait. I wear them from early nov moose hunts till late Nov whitetail hunts. Early season I use light liner late season I put in a good heavy liner, very versatile boot. With the heavy liners they are also an excellent ice fishing boot, they keep your feet dry when hammering of holes with the auger. Only thing is be careful, last winter I got careless where I was swinging my auger and gashed a big slice in the toe of my boot with the blade lol. Waste of a good boot lol.
