well got ask to look at the crops of the Ruffed grouse here

so here is 3 crops for comparison

Red berries and and juicy sweet buds.

Pretty uniform diet in the aspen boreal and now boreal subalpine region.

Looks like I am on the right track in my "ruffie enhancement" project on the south forty.
