Yipee! Wife got her calling season moose tag, I got local Nov. doe tags. No turkey as expected, If son can get leave approved he plans on coming with us on our annual boreal hunt; fingers crossed, can't wait. If we're successful up N I'm thinking Nov. is going to be flintlock season for me. If not, it's the trusty ole' 30-06 meat getter.

MY draws were all in Sask and it looks like I will be hunting the general season....Zilch this year. One good thing about Sask, I can hunt elk and bull moose on a general tag, gotta love that!

A friend of mine got mule deer doe draw tags for 336 but the hunting regulations don’t show a season. He is waiting to hear from BIO if there was a mistake.

Shows it in the draw book, did he maybe put down wmu 336 as a draw choice in draw code 14 and not mean to?

In any case, looks like your buddy is hunting mule doe in 336, Nov 1-30.

Yup it is in the draw book and he meant to draw for it and got it. now have a look in the 2013 hunting regulations there is no wmu 336 listed unless we are missing something ?

I got calf moose in 510. and have to wait but I think I may get non-trophy antelope.

I thought I might get Camp Wainwright primitive but NO! One thing I noticed when looking over the 2012 draw information is that there were a lot of people that put in 999 for Wainwright. So if a lot of them had a lot of priority and decided to put in any time they would scoop up a bunch of permits.

Just found out my brother Duane got his bull moose draw in 350, so the old team of me, Duane, and Trevor will be heading back to our familiar spots in early November for his bull and some nice whitetail bucks for all.
Our staggered draws are working out great for our group.

Will be going moose hunting in Cape Breton,daughter's boyfriend got drawn.He has never shot anything,this will be a good start.His first rifle is a 30-06 Browning,I will be his companion hunter with my 338 win mag.Season is Sept 30 to Oct 5 around Cheticamp south of the park.Any ex maritimers that read this,tips would be appreciated .Like winning the LOTTO.Some people have applied for 20 years and never been drawn,he was drawn first time.

DS, I put in for moose back home for a good many years and was never drawn. C.B. has the highest concentration of moose in N.S. and thats not saying much. Nova Scotia is a hurtin place for moose. The Cape Breton highlands is probably your best bet, up around the Keltic lodge. I'm not sure what the policy is for quads but it can get mighty rough in there.

Thanks TUC we are in zone 2 and last year the success rate was over 80per cent.We are in a motorized zone so that will make it easier,50 other tags in the same area.Thanks for the help.
