Talking with my son the last couple days Paul and he doesn't believe the rut is on yet but there has been a lot of activity. Just that time of year when the bucks are moving around, staking territory and finding the does. E said the activity is getting heavy the last two days.
I personally feel it's going to be an early rut this year. According to the science behind it, this year is an early rut and everything I have seen up to now as far as their activity is pointing this way. Myself I think by the middle of the month it's going to be going full bore.
NOW is the time to be out there rattling if you are into it,, it's the best time of year for calling deer. As the rut progresses the big bucks will have their does lined up and will be occupied breeding and keeping the does inline. Get out there this week for the best rattling.. I will be home in 3 days,, I am going to be living in those woods for 10 days.
