Well weve been putting in alot of effort the last few days to get my boy his first big game animal. Weve sat in our blinds for many many hours, driven many miles looking for spots and got up early and hunted late. But today when we were heading in to move one of our tent blinds we seen a small 3 point mule deer. I know the area very well so set the boy up and we tried to do a drive. I walked up on the deer twice in the bush trying to get him to move but when he did he went the wrong way wanting to always circle back to one particular ridge. I went and got my son from the spot I told him to sit and we decided to still hunt the buck. So we followed working around that buck. He alwaysed stayed just out of my boys bow range. We ended up getting at one point to 30yrds and he took a shot. He grazed the top of the bucks back. The buck ran a short ways and then just continued on as he was. We kept working the buck and he went up on the edge of "His" ridge. I set my son by a few big bam trees and I circled around the buck as he wanted to go along the ridge so my son was lined up to intercept him. I did a wide circle and came over the top of the ridge so the buck was between us. He slowly started towards my son but would be behind him so I yelled to watch behind him. He then turned to draw on the buck and the buck spooked and ran to where I had originally planned on him going. He stopped right in front of my son. At this point I could just make out the deer. I seen him jump and thought I heard an arrow wack!!. I yelled down to my boy to see if he got him and got the words I was hoping for, "Yep"!!!  When I got to him he was shaking like a leaf and I asked him where he hit him and he said "Right where you told me to"! The blood trail was increadable and the buck only went about 80yrds after the shot. We found him and did some high fiving and hugging then took a few pics. Was a very awesome morning to be passing on the hunting heratage. Hope you guys enjoy the pics half as much as I did taking them!!!!!!

What a cool hunt and Happy ending. Way to go Brylee. Thats awesome to see them doing the boys taking the hide off themselves Darcy. Must have been a pretty proud and memorable Moment.
