Sons Archery Mule Buck

Sorry guys but have to brag some. My middle boy Jordan connected on a pretty sweet archery buck today. The story as I know it goes as such. About 9 this morning Jordan spotted and put the stock on 4 bucks part ways into the stock this bad boy jumps up out of no where and Jordan said surprised the heck out of him. So he had to knock an arrow and do a quick range on it. It ranged 40 yards with a slight 1/4 away angle. Jordan set the pin on it and let it go. It jumped the shot a bit and Jordan hit it just ahead of the rump and a bit high. He said as it ran away the shot didn't look the best but it was bleeding good. He text us around 10:30 and his older brother and I agreed it sounded like a kidney hit and that I was sure he would get it. Jordan played it smart and backed off. He went into town and got a friend to come and help with the track. He went back out about 2 and got on the trail. I am not sure at this point how far it made it bit regardless Jordan got his animal. What a deer for not only his first muly but also his first bow kill. Just an all round super kill for him I am very happy for Jordan.

Nice horns and looks like a real big bodied deer as well.  Congratulations to your son!
