Stinky skunk!
« on: October 09, 2018, 07:58:34 PM »
Went out mid afternoon to look for chickens, got three but that's not the story.

So we were driving down the camp 20 road and right at mile marker 21 a damn skunk ran across the road in front of us. :o

I stopped and was going to shoot the little stinker but all I had was a little 28 gauge with 7.5 shot. Now I'm thinking that I have to get pretty close for a kill shot with this little gun, probably within spray range. :o :o

Well let's just say that today was Mr. Skunks lucky day.BUT….

I've been in Hinton since 1980 and this is the first live skunk that I seen around here.A couple of years ago I seen a dead one on the east access road but that's it,never seen skunks here before.

I don't think I like this invasive species. :( :(

Well sonny I have a skunk story all so, nothing to do with me though. My daughter goes to Lakeland College in Vermilion, and a week or so ago this skunk show up at their dorm duplex. Well the booze is flowing and all bets are on by the boys in the crowd. Who can catch the skunk barehanded, kiss it and let it go. So far no one has kissed Pepe le pew yet, but many have puked and had the old tomato juice bath. The challenge continues though, every drunken night or until Pepe has had enough. To be young again.😀😂

I was going down Highway 43 through the Sturgeon Lake Indian reserve where all those houses are adjacent to the highway.

I smelt skunk as I was driving through, and figured one got nailed on the highway.  Nope.  Two skunk carcasses were nailed to the door  of one of the houses.  Talk about getting even with the neighbor. Whoa. :o :o
