The Next Generation.
« on: October 31, 2014, 11:40:04 AM »
How young is to young to start to go out in the field,, one would have to say never to young. Here is my Grandson who was out with his dad for an afternoon grouse hunt. I would say I starting taking out his dad when he was about this age,, some times those boys would go with me all day at this age.

Love it Walleyes!!!!  I did the same with my son when he was a small one.  He still talks about it, when the guns come out.  Hopefully he will do the same with his kids.  The oldest grand daughter, 17 yrs. old, loves to drive Grampa's pickup while we travel the back roads looking for "roosters".  Better yet, she gets right ornery if she does not get to do some of the dirty work.  The other two just like to hear the noise that the guns make.  Neither could hit a bull in the ass with a shovel full of grain, let alone hit a rooster.  Maybe the future will be better.

Love it!!  I agree that you are never too young to go.  personally I don't remember anytime in my own life that i wasnt involved in fishing or hunting.  My first big game kill was with my Dad when I was 5.  I thank my dad for introducing me to the great outdoors from such a young age.  The world is a diverse place and kids will make their own decisions as they grow but we should all give them an opportunity to have outdoor hunting/fishing experiences that we have all had.

That is the cutest picture I have ever seen. My grandson is 2 and lives in Calgary . I hope some day to retire to Alberta and hunt with him. When I see pictures like this ,it tells me how lucky we are to be able to do the things we love with the ones we love. Hunt the wild places.
