This years Sheep hunt
« on: October 30, 2011, 10:20:08 PM »
I took 2 friend of mine sheep hunting this year.  One of them it was his first trip and the other I took last year with me so this was his 2nd trip.  We killed 2 rams for them and had a great time.  It was real tough finding the rams this year.  All the sheep were real low and hiding in the timber with all of the warm weather.  The 2 we found were in a real tight hole and we caught them right at the creek huffing and puffing and getting a drink.  I can't post a lot of the good pics as they have my buddies in them but here are a few that I took that you might still enjoy.

No we didn't take any of the capes off the horns if that is what you are asking.  Both were real close and didn't want to take the chance.  If your talking the last picture it looks like the head was lopped off but the cape was all tied up and no we took both capes home with us.  I would never leave a cape behind.
Birds were fantastic this year.  Time to recover and go kill a big deer now!!

5+ years old from what I can tell unless I missed a year.  Most rams that squeek by kit that 5+ year mark.

For $50 you can come hold one of mine if you want.  These 2 guys are my friends and I had no problem helping them out to get their first rams.  I don't think I would do it for money.
