Trail Cam Pics
« on: August 09, 2016, 11:56:40 AM »
Just picked up my card after the first week to have a look tons of pics no monsters but that is ok.  What makes it special is my 5 year old helped with set up and he was thrilled to look at the pictures.

The "boys" will come sniffing!!  Remember those days, when we all knew where all of the receptive ladies were?  :D

It was great getting my little guy out and showing him what goes into scouting and the initial set up.  He was absolutely thrilled to see the pics and cannot wait to sit in a blind with me this year should be interesting.

Just a few does and fawns on mine today. Just got them up a couple days ago though, hopefully they start to move here as the frost starts coming.

My cam is producing lots of good buck pics now.  Two very good WT's have shown up in the last week.
Unfortunately, I won't be posting any pics this year as my previous pics have been stolen from this site an posted by others who use them for their own promotional purposes.
Sad that people do this.  I see that my fishing pics are splashed all over an advertiser's site as well without my permission.  >:(

Sort of an invasion of privacy.

Funny over all the years of me putting up pics I have never seen any of them used any place else, and I cruise the web pretty steady.

That's sucks though, anyone that does such a thing has got to be a real loser to take credit for another's accomplishments.

So a friend of mine gives me a sack of apples he picked off the ground at his place a couple weeks ago, asked me if my deer would like them, I figured what the heck I'll throw them out by one of my trail cams and see if they like them, it's a long ways from my stand this cam so I figure it's ok and I'm not hunting yet anyways so no issues. Well wouldnt yah know it the bears found it lol. Lousy sow and 3 cubs, just what I want on my land a sow and Cubs. Good thing is they pretty much cleaned them up and the rest I shovelled up and hauled away. Hopefully she moves on soon as I don't want her around. The wife and I go for nightly walks around the property when I'm home and now the wife is freaked out, can't say as I blame her. Note to self, no apple piles on location lol.

Thought I'd share this photo as it taught me a bit about how night pictures can be deceiving.  I thought I had a monster on my hands.  He ended up walking with a doe 20 yards behind my treestand last year and just a young buck but lots of potential.

That goes to show your experience compared to mine.  My initial thought on the pic was older buck going downhill, kill it asap.  Couple pretty seasoned whitetail guys I know thought the same but you are 100% right.  Pencil horned all the way through.  As mentioned it was a learning experience and expected there to be more mass in person but not the case.  Was actually pretty blown away at the difference.

Got this tasty little bull around the place the last bit. I knew he would be around soon as there is a cow that lives around the place, has been here for years now. The wife walked out of the house a couple days ago and the cow and calf were standing beside her truck parked in front of the garage. Spooked the heck out of the both of em. Two days ago I saw the bull across the field sniffing around so this morning I went and pulled the cards and found these. By what I can see from the tracks in the snow they met up last night out in the field so that's awesome.

We have no tags for around home as its about an 8 years period for rifle. I am running the wife's priority up she is about 4 now. Not sure as I would take one on my land its nice to see them around but you never know. There are quite a few in the area where I live, lots of treed lease land around along the river, some wild country for them and very little wolf activity so they like it out here.

Nice little meat bull, would fill the freezer nicely.
