Upland Game hunting pic's 2018

Sept 1 to Jan 15

solo in morning for 3 out of 5

2 Old Bro's after bro's off work at 5pm 3 out of 4

lots of foliage but if you know your area n fall colors are starting

saw a nice Black Bear n Mule doe in morning

2 WT in evening

what the heck is this .. is it eatable ?

Shot two today with a 113 year old shotgun.

Yup it's a Remington model 1900 SxS 16 gauge made in 1905.

Seen a few more runners but this old guy don't have the stamina to chase after them.

Something about that first grouse of the season sets my mind up for the rest of the season hunt. Glad to see us old guys at it early, I think we have earned that right at this point in out lives.

Forgot to say sonny, nice old “ side by each” shotgun. I have a 20 and 12 only about 30 years old but love to hunt with them. Can always count on you to show neat hardware in you adventures.

Went out today with an old 20 gauge and got three spruce hens.

Also had Mr. Bear come out for a visit.I only had my iPhone for a camera but you can still see him.

Maybe I should get in the habit of keeping the good camera in the truck.

I started keeping a camera in my truck last year, only problem I’m having is to train myself to grab it when I see something. I have never carried one much so I need to stop looking and start taking pictures. Nice job on the hens sonny.

Those hens will fry up nice. Nice sized bear, black that sucker hey, it's amazing how they stand out, alomost looks photo shopped how it's so black.

Yeah if you zoom in with an iPhone you lose a lot of picture quality and that's why it looks funny.

wow nice when you see 22 Upland Grouse(5ea ruffed 3 spruce 4 me)

but when u added 10 Snowshoe Hare (7)

that make for a great day

Went out today and did great.Shot my limit of five ruffies and see about four more.

Also it looks like the deer are making a comeback.Seen 2 doe mulies and 13 whitetails,all doe's except for 1 forkhorn buck.

This was in about a 40 km stretch of road.

Seems to be lots again this year,both grouse and deer. On my elk trip I seen lots of deer, does with two fawns and small 4 point and pronged bucks. Unfortunately the elk where silent with the ugly weather, but still bush time was great. Good to see you enjoying that retirement time sonny.
