David do you find them tasting a bit strong this time of year?

I only hunt them fall and early winter.

Just asking because if they still taste good then I may have a go at them. ;)

I eat them all year just got 2 pie's done .. they taste like wabbit.. a little differn,t taste but it all in how you cook them ..  i get them cooked in stews and pie's or later as in now get kubasa.. pepperoni etc and if you can tell they are wild but then i eat Spruce Grouse in November and like.. gave these to my Native buddy his mom will cook them up and use the hide's

I've never shot a rabbitt, only snared. Looks like I should switch to shooting if I could reap rewards like that. Wow! I love wabbit stew, wabbit pie, wabbit braised and slow cooked or even bbq'd.

Only got 4 last trip out west of caroline. Here's a few.

Alberta_huntress_83 ..grats on the wabbits ..and yes hunting and tracking or stalk and spot is fun fun fun .. just another way to get those wascly wabbits.. i have found it tough right now with all the snow up here and its breeding season ;; any time you get out in the bush is a postive

You got that right, David lol! I have five days off as of tomorrow at 4pm, I think I'm gonna head out with my pup tent and my outfitter bag and have some solace in the woods. I've got a bunch of dead chickens I think ill take out for yote bait lol.

What's the best gun to shoot bunnies with? .22 or shotgun?

Ps great pics you've been posting :)

No sir, not shy at all :) I like to laugh and have a good time as much as the next person lol. Lucky kids you have!!....kids have no idea how fortunate they are to grow up with sportsman parents...

Yes, hopefully will make it out to yote hunt this wknd but been having some major vehicle issues this past two weeks....left my trunk open a hair on monday night driving out to the barns to feed/water the hens and let my battery die...neighbour boosted me in the morning and cross connected his side of the connection to the battery and blew just about every fuse in my car. Missed work yesterday and still took the mechanic two trips out to my acreage to get me going again. Drove to work with no lights or radio today lol. Sooooo til I un-screw myself I might be homeward bound LOL. But man do I need to go camping!!!! Lol

Note to self: next time someone attempts to boost me, I must insist on hooking it up myself :( rocket science I tell ya (sorry for the non hunting related story).

Just one question.

What type of ammo do you use in your .22?
